Antique Rosenthal Selb Bavaria Art Nouveau Oranges and Blossoms Teacup and Saucer
A rare and striking antique teacup and saucer duo from the celebrated German porcelain house Rosenthal, made at their prestigious factory in Selb, Bavaria. The bold Jugendstil pattern features plump clusters of golden oranges hanging from leafy branches alongside delicate white five-petal blossoms, all set against soft mint green panels framed by thick geometric gold borders. The handle is fully gilded, and the gilding throughout is brilliant and intact.
Marked "Rosenthal Selb Bavaria" with crown over crossed scepters, dating this piece to 1907–1933, with the graphic geometric design placing it beautifully in the late 1910s to early 1920s. No chips, cracks, or crazing. Gold is bright and shows no wear. A few minor gaps in the black outlining on the saucer — minimal and in no way detracting from this stunning piece.
