Vintage Clarice Cliff Tonquin Brown Transferware Light Switch Plates Made in England Set of 2
A pair of vintage ceramic single-toggle light switch plates in the Tonquin pattern, designed by Clarice Cliff for A.J. Wilkinson Ltd's Royal Staffordshire line. A classic brown transferware design featuring a pastoral landscape with a bridge, swans, pagodas, and an ornate floral foreground. Dating from the 1930s to 1940s, these are nearly antique.
Each plate measures 4 3/8 inches by 2 7/8 inches. Stamped "A.J. Wilkinson Ltd, England" on the reverse. Excellent condition with brilliant glaze and no chips, cracks, or staining. Sold as a set of two. Mounting screws not included.
