Antique Valentine Card Die-Cut Pop-Up Honeycomb Cottage Pink Roses Germany

The Pink Rose Cottage

$75.00

This is a magnificent antique Valentine's Day card. Die-cut, pop-up, with honeycomb accents. It also has cellophane windows. The cottage is white with large windows. Curved steps. Columns with potted flowers of blue forget-me-nots and pink roses. The roof of the cottage is red honeycomb. Cherub statue, little children and a "St. Valentine's Greeting" scroll. Green trees in the background. There is loop for hanging The the bottom has large pink roses. Please see all the photos because there is so much detail to this wonderful Valentine card.

Measures 10 1/8 by 8 5/8 inches. Opens to stand is 3 5/8 inches. Marked, "Germany." Signed by the giver, "Irma Zabor." Overall, considering this dates 1910 to the 1920's, the condition is wonderful. Just a few issues that do not distract. The red cellophane window is cracked. The little girl on the front left needs reattached to her cardboard stand. The section, also on the left, has become detached from the bottom and will need a drop of glue. The flowers in the pot in the same area are a little creased. This is such a charming and rare antique Valentine. Surely one to treasure!
