Antique Die-Cut Valentine's Day Card Children and Cherub
This darling antique Valentine's Day card is very sweet. Opens and stands on its own. It's die-cut and also pop-up designed. The first part has a little boy taking a picture of a little girl with a parasol. "Take my picture and you will see, thay my loving heart beats only for thee." Behind that, Cupid is riding a bird with his arrow drawn and the red heart, "To My True Love." The background is an orchard of cherry trees in blossom. Two honeycomb balls are where the card closes.
Measures 9 1/4 by 7 1/4. Base measures 3 1/2 by 7 1/4 for standing. Marked, "Made in the U.S.A." Signed, "To Miss Wilcox, From Charlotte Haseley." There are some minor wear issues such as slightly bent corners. Otherwise, it's gorgeous and displays beautifully.
