Vintage Valentine's Candy Box Keepsake Embossed Gold Tone Metal
A wonderful and possibly rare, vintage Valentine's candy box. Gold-tone metal. The edge of the lid is embossed with little hearts. The body has a brick or woven design. The top is embossed with an overall shell design in red. The bottom has red felt. Opens on a pair of hinges. Inside has red velvet. The bottom also has a cardboard insert.
This vintage Valentine chocolate box measures 10 3/8 by 9 inches. Stands 2 1/14 inches tall. There is no maker marks. A little discoloration on the rim and a tiny bit of wear in the top right corner. It's in very lovely condition. A terrific find!
