Vintage Southern Belle by Janice May Jewelry Keepsake Box
A very sweet vintage jewelry or keepsake box. Wooden with a creamy wash of off white. Beaded edge. The lid has a print of a southern belle by Janice May. The bell is wearing a yellow and pink dress and carrying a matching fan. The inside of the lid has a mirror with minor silver loss. The base has three compartments. The inside bottom is glass over gold.
This vintage box measures 9 by 7 1/4 inches. Stands about 3 inches tall. There is a remnant of the original manufacturers label on the front of the box. The ribbon that is used to lift the lid has been replaced. Few nicks on the box. The bottom of the box is covered by felt that will need replaced. Overall gorgeous!
