Set of 4 Johnson Brothers Ironstone Merry Christmas Teacup and Snack Plates
Four sets of Johnson Brothers "Merry Christmas" teacups and snacks plates. Features a beautiful and traditions Christmas scene of the a Christmas tree with presents by the fireplace. So charming!.
The plates measures 7 3/4 inches square. Gently scalloped edges. Marked, "Merry Christmas, Made in England, Johnson Bros, A genuine Hand Made Engraving, All Decorations Under The Glaze, Detergent and Acid Resisting Colour, PAT No. 185330, Ironstone." All four snack plates are in excellent condition.
The matching teacups has a slight swirl embossing. The outside has a garland of holly and holly berries. The inside has a fully decorated Christmas tree that matches the plates. One of the tea cups are in excellent condition. One has a small nick out of the rim. Two have crazing (the worse shown). See photos. Overall, this is a wonderful vintage Christmas snack set!
